Pajama Party Was Super Fun

wow. I havent' had so much fun at a pajama party since...I don't even know when. And even though there were no pillow fights, there were the prerequisite pigtails and dancing and giggling and pizza. I nominate Kelly for best interpretive dance. I also vow to never wear a tie-dyed union suit again.

Food and Wine 2008 Pictures Released

Food and Wine show pictures were just released - perhaps were being held by the police for evidence of who stole all those Stella Artois glasses? Anyone?

Also, I just wanted you all to know that I saw snow today. It is snowing right now, as a matter of fact. And THAT is part of the reason why it is really difficult to dress slutty for Halloween. I'll list the main reasons for you here:
  1. Dressing slutty usually requires a lot of skin showing, but with this weather, you get quite chilly wearing a scanty outfit.
  2. The high heels required as part of such an outfit make your feet hurt obviously, but taking the offending footwear off has its own downfalls because
    1. you have to carry the damn things, and if you're drunk you will undoubtedly forget them in some random bathroom, and then you'll have NO shoes at all
    2. if you're on State Street you will probably step on broken glass or in puke
    3. when you're dancing, some drunk douchebag will step all over your defenseless little toes
  3. This is the worst one for me. For some reason, when I'm dressed in such a manner and am inebriated, I tend to want to flash my boobs. I DO NOT KNOW WHY. You can imagine what kind of regret-able mishaps this can lead to (think digital camera + internet...). Fortunately no digital archives of my breasticles have been captured (I think), but it is only a matter of time and opportunity.
For the reasons stated above, I declare that I will dress not very sexy this Halloween. Until Friday rolls around and I have to put together a costume, and the only thing around the house is Ho-made. Ugh.

Food and Wine Show 2008 a Success!

Everyone will be happy to know that the Food and Wine Show last weekend was a rip-roaring success, as evidenced by the fact that everyone got rip-roaring drunk. I say the price of admission is WELL worth the cost. We came home with a matching set of Hoegarten beer glasses besides the complementary wine tasting glass. I have no idea how that happened.

Kelly- Emily - do you have the pictures? I distinctly remember a photo shoot next to an artfully arranged mum and pumpkin boquet. Afterwards, Emily and Max made a delightful dinner featuring some heavenly squash soup (share the recipe Em!), a fine home-made coleslaw, and a savory pheasant hash. I think. I was still drunk, but I do remember there was buckshot in Barry's meat. And everything was DEELISH!!

Hope to see everyone at the next Ladies' Club!!

Crappy News, but here it goes...

Hi Ladies,

I don't know if you've heard, but my department at Sonic Foundry was downsized. If anyone knows of a job looking for a girl, I'm a girl looking for a job!

Food and Wine Show Oct. 17th-19th

I know Melissa and Melanie said they couldn't attend the Food and Wine Show, but hopefully we will be able to drink and eat their share in memoriam...

2008 Food and Wine Show

Who is in??? Last year we found a really great wine, but I can't remember what is was now. I wrote it down someplace...and then those crackers were SO good, but I was half in the bag by then anyway. Does anyone remember what the name of that wine was?

Nov Event

Great idea for the blog spot! You are good Anna! Remember to put Nov 14 on your calendar - the theme is Pajama Party! Prize for ugliest pj's! More to come...

First Ever Ladies Club at Emily's Place Huge Success

Associated Press (AP) - In a move that may signal the end of boredom for dozens of ladies in the Madison, WI area, Emily Miller of 123 N. Blount Street held the much anticipated inaugural Ladies Club event.
Several bargaining efforts had been attempted by the individual members in previous years to "not have a boring winter", but little change in the situation had been seen, mostly due to the aforementioned members being "too busy with life and stuff."
Last night's developments were hailed as a positive step in the right direction, as indicated by member Kelly O'Loughlin's statement of having had "a blast."
